You add Cara via a meeting link or calendar invite. Cara joins as a participant - no browser extensions, plugins, or downloads required for anyone on the call.
How is audio processed?+
Audio is captured and transcribed in real-time using speech-to-text. The transcript is processed as the meeting progresses.
How are outputs structured?+
Cara uses structured extraction to identify user stories, acceptance criteria, decisions, and action items from the transcript. Each item is grounded with a timestamp and supporting quote from the conversation.
What export formats are available?+
Outputs are available in Markdown and CSV. Direct integrations with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Notion) are on the roadmap.
Does the client need to install anything?+
No. Cara joins via a standard meeting link. No plugins, extensions, or downloads are required for any participant.
Does Cara need screen recording or screen share access?+
No. Cara only processes audio. It does not capture screen content, video, or shared documents.
How fast are outputs delivered?+
Structured outputs are typically available within minutes after the call ends.
Can we edit outputs after they're generated?+
Yes. Outputs are delivered as Markdown and CSV files that you can edit freely in any tool.

What is your data retention policy?+
Transcripts and outputs are retained for 90 days by default. You can request deletion at any time. See our privacy page for details.
Can Cara be visible as a named participant?+
Yes. Cara joins as a visible participant so all attendees know it's present. The display name is configurable.
What happens if Cara can't join the call?+
If Cara fails to join (e.g., due to meeting permissions), you'll be notified before the call starts so you can adjust settings.
